First implemented in 2002, in Connecticut, and presently being implemented in some variation, in about 30 states, the Yellow Dot program was developed to assist first responders in treating victims of auto accidents. A Yellow Dot decal is placed in the rear window of the vehicle to alert emergency personnel to look for a corresponding yellow folder in the occupant's glove box containing medical records of the owner of the vehicle and /or his family. In addition to a car, a MyInfo911 sticker can be placed on a bicycle, motorcycle, golf cart, helmet, backpack, car seat, virtually anything. [...] MyInfo911 ID products provide protection in the event of any accident or illness, regardless of how or where it might occur. For complete access to the medical history of the victim including blood type, allergies, medications, and conditions such as diabetes, seizures, or heart disease, first responders are instructed to simply scan the special state of the art Quick Response (QR) Code on the card with any smart phone.
